Residency

The Whitecaps Residency program is at the leading edge of soccer development in North America. No program like it exists outside of Vancouver, but European, South American and Asian football clubs have successfully implemented similar models.

While soccer development is the primary focus of the Residency program, heavy emphasis is placed on education, nutrition, health and balanced lifestyles.

Gifts to the Residency program help to cover the costs of programming, travel, school, accommodation, food and other living expenses for the young players.

2008 was a year of success for the Residency program. A number of players were called up to the Whitecaps men's team and Ethan Gage even played in the championship match against Puerto Rico.
